How does the article contribute to your understanding of leadership? How will you apply learning to your own leadership practice?
In the articial it shows me other peoples thought of leadership and understanding. Everyone has their own ways. In the artical it sheds light on the Okanagan people, Northern Okanagan and Many others. The British Columbia First Nations People Told their way of life throught stories. Those stories were passed down leader by leader. The leaders then shared their knowledge with others, which made them great leaders.
The artical taught me leadership isnt easy. You have to be willing to help others, to make a change, and most of all you have to have respect for those around you and yourself. The artical most definatly changed my understanding of Leadership in many ways. Now that I have read this, I hope to become a leader one day. I hope that I can teach younger people around me. I want my life to go in the right direction, But first, I need to make certain changes in my life so that I can truly help others.
The artical is a must read, and i encourage many to read this. Its great and it really changes your understanding.

Assignment #1 - My Story

My Understanding of Leadership is that someone who knows themselves and has respect for themselves and others. One who has the knowledge to teach others the ways of life. A person who treats everyone equally and not unfairly.
My life experiences have reflected my outlook on Leadership. Because many people in my Family, such as my Mother and Father. They taught me to love life and respect everybody, to leave nobody out, and to always do thing right until it's done perfect. So with the things they taught me, and others. They showed me the way of life. To me, they're my leaders.
Well, I believe that the theories we discuss in class about leadership are basically the exact same as me and my family's outlook on Leadership.
